Open-air classroom with a view of the castle and the church
PöllauThe open-air classrom is located in the beautiful castle park in the Nature Park Pöllau Valley.
The open-air classroom sits atop a hill under old hornbeams on the west side of the castle park Pöllau. From the benches you have a wonderful view of the parish church Pöllau and Pöllauberg: The perfect place to impart knowledge,to do research, to discover or to relax. The canopied, staircase-shaped area with 32 seats and desks (first row is barrier-free), a room for teaching materials, cooking facility as well as water and electrical connections, serves our certified Nature Park Schools as a classroom for lessons close to nature. The open-air classroom is also a popular place for seminars and lectures.
"SAM" stands for "Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark" and closes the mobility gap where bus and train do not run. The nearest SAM stop near the outdoor classroom is HF 5943 (Pöllau/Schloss-Zwinger), other stops can be found here.
